Last summer, I was feeling stuck and unable to move forward with a huge task that lay ahead of me. In my basement, I had collected boxes and bookshelves of items that I had kept from 20 years of living in the same home. Many of the boxes were like time capsules, from different teaching jobs I had had over the years, and other contained personal items such as mementos from my sons’ childhood. Donna offered to help me part with unnecessary items and to organize the space. At first, I felt reluctant to take her up on her offer as I felt embarrassed about allowing someone else to see the cluttered mess. However, when Donna came in, she passed no judgement and quickly got to work. She helped me decide what to keep and what not to keep. She helped me to set goals for each day and make a plan to achieve them. Without Donna’s help, I would not have been able to accomplish what I did. In the end, that space that had been a cluttered mess was usable again and my son doing online university was able to create a school work space there. I highly recommend Donna!

It’s hard to put into words just how meaningful Donna’s help was to me. My storage room has deep floor-to-ceiling shelving on 3 walls … which were packed to overflowing, and the floor was piled high with boxes and bins. Embarrassing and completely overwhelming. Donna approached this challenge with such a positive, kind, and non-judgemental attitude. She was confident we could pare down my possessions to what I actually enjoyed and had use for, and we did! She was invaluable in helping me know what to keep, toss/recycle, donate/sell. When it came to my many bins of sentimental keepsakes, her question to me was this: if these things are really so important and special to you, what are they doing packed away where you can’t see or enjoy them? And, if your kids never see that these things are special to you, why would they want them some day? This was such an eye-opener and exactly the motivation I needed. I can’t recommend Donna enough!

As a keen crafter who moved into a smaller space, Donna was an absolute saviour. She helped separate clutter from keepsakes and created efficient storage for all my items. I went from a room I could barely enter to a well-organized space where I could see everything I had and access it easily. She came up with a system for all my craft supplies that I can easily maintain to keep everything neat and tidy.
